Meet Our Highly Experienced Leadership Team

Our company is managed by a highly specialized leadership team with several decades of combined experience in the self-storage industry. We pride ourselves on our clean and versatile storage units and work hard to bring the core values of professionalism and integrity to every transaction.
Our customers are not just a number to us. We focus on treating every customer as if they were our family.

Marilyn Leslie – Owner

High Country Storage is owned and operated by Marilyn Leslie. She brings over 18 years of hands-on experience in the self-storage industry, from support services and products to facilities management. Marilyn was an original member of the Asian self-storage planning and implementation team that pioneered American-style self-storage in Hong Kong.

Her responsibilities expanded from financial to complete operational management of the Hong Kong venture in 2005, with Marilyn successfully leading the acquisition and development efforts at six facilities.

Excellence in Private & Public Sectors

Marilyn helped establish and promote the Self Storage Association of Asia and has also served on several panels for Inside Self Storage and the Asian Self Storage Association. She resigned from her positions as a Board Member and Treasurer in 2015 to concentrate on self-storage efforts in the United States.

Before entering the private sector, Ms. Leslie served as a senior manager for the “Big 4” accounting firm KPMG. She currently brings more than four decades of management and financial experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to that, she was the controller of a larger multi-state publishing company and the Chief Financial Officer of a Foundation serving the needs of United States Armed Forces personnel widows.

Brent Owen Leslie – Owner

Brent brings over 14 years of experience as a consultant in the self-storage industry, having served in all areas of financial, facility, and strategic planning. His duties have ranged from staff recruitment and facility design to market studies, financial planning, expense and revenue analysis, and budget and forecast preparation.

Brent has over forty-five years of consulting and management experience with international CPA firms and private companies. He has been active in the acquisition, structure, and restructure planning for multi-state companies, ranging from publishing to retail sales to services businesses.

Missy Griffith – Store Manager

Missy Griffith has worked in self-storage for the last twenty-five years. Before joining High Country Storage, she served as the manager/owner of a regional self-storage facility in California. Missy resides in Montezuma County and enjoys RV travel, ATV adventures, and many other outdoor activities our county offers.

Brent D. Leslie – Facility Manager

A graduate of Arizona State University, Brent D. Leslie has more than 9 years of experience in various areas of the self-storage industry. A certified welder, Brent also has experience in route delivery and building and grounds management.

Christina Leslie – Assistant Store Manager

Christina has worked in self-storage for over two years and is experienced in other customer service industries. She brings a distinct flair to the High Country Team with her interest and skill as an artist.
